# Deborah Carter, Ph.D., BCBA-D.

**** **Deborah Carter, Ph.D., BCBA-D.,** is an associate professor in Special Education and Early Childhood Studies at Boise State University. Her areas of expertise include school-wide and individual student positive behavior support, early childhood special education, and family involvement. She provides training and coaching support to early childhood programs and K–12 schools implementing systems of positive behavior support.

Dr. Carter’s current research focuses on implementation of program-wide positive behavior support in early childhood and integrating academic and behavioral RTI at the school level. Her work has been included in the _Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions_, _Behavioral Disorders_, _Assessment for Effective Intervention_, _Intervention in School and Clinic_, _The Early Childhood Education Journal_, and _Teaching Young Children_.
