Mealtimes in early learning settings present rich opportunities for connection, learning, and positive food experiences, but they can also present many challenges. Join Yev Veverka, a behavior analyst and researcher, and Susan Ramage, a nurse at an inclusive child care center, to learn why taking a proactive approach to supporting children during mealtimes is important. The presenters will share practical, flexible strategies for making mealtimes fulfilling and meaningful experiences for all.

In this webinar, you’ll:

- Understand the challenges with a “wait and see” approach to mealtime difficulties and waiting for children to “grow out of it”
- Learn how implementing universal support strategies can help prevent challenges from developing, as well as identify and support children and families who do have mealtime challenges
- Get a brief overview of a tiered approach with strategies that can be immediately implemented in attendee’s setting, including steps for gathering information, setting goals, ongoing assessment, and support strategies
- Discover strategies for collaborating with families
